Aim
This three-week intensive course will prepare prospective students for their application to a BA Degree course or Foundation Art diploma at University. The course will guide students through the creative process of building a portfolio and learning how to create pieces of work that reflect their skills in drawing, 3D design and Communication.
Structure
The course meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the studio and this time will be spent improving practical skills such as drawing, design and experimentation with materials. For Mondays and Fridays projects will be given and a list of relevant exhibitions to visit. The projects and exhibitions will be discussed with tutors and peers to help build your confidence and critical skills. By the third week you will have consolidated your art work and created a portfolio that represents your true talents.
