Beaded and Silver Jewellery Level 1

Five week course

During this beginners course you will design and make beaded jewellery selecting beads from our wide selection and learn the technical and design skills to make threaded and knotted necklaces in several styles.

You will also learn how to be creative with beads, learning the techniques of wire wrapping with head pins how to use jump rings and how to make silver findings. In additional to learning beaded techniques you will learn to cut, texture and shape sheet silver to make charms from your pieces.

You will learn:

• cutting, shaping and textureing silver
• wire wrapping with head pins
• crimping
• threading
• to use jumprings
• to make hooks and clasps

You will make:

• Beaded Earrings with cluster beads
• Necklace with metal silver charms
• Bracelet with chain and beads
• Knotted necklace

Students generally make a few pieces on each session.

Tools: you will learn to use jewellery pliers, hammers, mandrels and a drill to make holes.

Suitable for: those with no previous experience. A great taster for those taking their first steps into the creative field.
