Beaded and Silver Jewellery Level 2

Five week evening course

This course is aimed at anyone interested in creating a collection or selling their jewellery.

Building on the basic skills learnt on the beginners course you will learn to how to design and create your own jewellery collections. You will learn what inspires you and how to gain inspiration for a collection that is original. Your jewellery collections with be based on a theme of your choice and will include a pair of earrings, necklace and bracelet.

You will be taught a wider range of beading and silver techniques to give your collection a unique look. Each week you will learn a new technique as well as learning to wrap beads, make links for bracelets and necklaces, cut and texture some silver charms, how to use jump rings, make claps and earring hooks and a lot more. By the end of the course you will have designed and created a collection of beautiful pieces.

• Gather inspirational materials and create mood boards
• How to combine colours
• Knotting techniques
• Beading techniques
• Shaping, cutting and texuring silver
• How to make clasps and hooks

You will design and make a original collection that includes the following:

• Earrings with silver and beads
• Bracelet with silver and beads
• Necklaces with silver and beads
