Beginners Beaded Jewellery

5 Week Evening Course

This five week evening course is ideal for beginners and is a perfect introduction to jewellery making, covering everything on the one-day class and more. You will learn how to design and make jewellery using silver, semi-precious stones and beads and develop your own creative style.

Each week will cover a new jewellery technique and we aim to make a piece of your own design at each session however some pieces may need to be finished at home or continued on the following session.

Session 1 – Earring making with silver wire
Session 2 – Beaded necklace (lariat style)
Session 3 – Bracelet with silver links
Session 4 – Multi-strand beaded necklace with silver clasp
Session 5 – Design and make your own piece of jewellery

You will learn: stringing beads, wire twisting around beads, making jump rings, making links, shaping metal and manipulating wire to make a clasp and earrings and texturing silver.

The class sizes are small and each person will receive one to one attention. At the end of the course you will have a collection of jewellery that you will be proud of.

All materials are provided and will include, silver sheet, wire and chain, semi-precious stones and glass beads. You will be provided with a list of suppliers and instruction booklet to continue making your own silver jewellery at home.

Cost: £175.00 per person for 5 weeks.
